Trip to Florida : Forgotten Coast
St. Joseph Peninsula, St. Vincent Island 2007 May 25-28 Site Content : WildLife Sunsets Beaches and Dune Forest Traveling There Natural Changes For the long weekend of 2007 May 26-28 I traveled to «Forgotten Coast» : my favourite corner of Florida. The weather was beautiful : ~30C/86F in the daytime and 20-21/68-70F in the night. The water was nice : about 20C/68F in the ocean and about 25C/77F in the bay. As usual, I did my ~30km/19miles hike around St.Joseph Peninsula. Besides that, I visited National Wildlife Refuge at St.Vincent Island. The distance between my home and the motel is 1650km/1030miles. Usually it takes me 18-19 hours, but driving home this time I encountered absolutely no delays and the weather conditions were excellent, so I made it home in 15.5 hours : faster than I ever did it. There are more my pages about visiting this area; the detailed maps and descriptions of all places I mentioned on this page are available from there.
