THE WHITE WORLD: ICE and SAND Images of Atlanta, white and frozen because of icy storm of 2005 Jan 29-30
as well as Images of Pensacola - Destin, also white but because of sand,
not because of frost
Traveling for business to Pensacola FL on Saturday Jan 29 morning I lost two days in Atlanta since the airport closed
because of severe icy storm.
All flights were cancelled and I involuntary had to spend two days in Atlanta. Having nothing to do for two days I was
making pictures of frozen Atlanta, the city and the vicinity, which looked so white because of ice and snow. Actually, the
impression was comparable with my winter trip to Siberia
only... ( Saying nothing of my lost but later fortunately found baggage... )
When I got to my destination Pensacola it was already Sunday Jan 30 night; and that city looked also very white but because
of sand, not because of frost...
